Active Release Techniques

ART, or Active Release Techniques, is a hands on soft tissue massage method whereby soft tissue problems such as carpal tunnel, nerve entrapments, plantar fasciitis, low back pain, shoulder pains, and other pain syndromes can be alleviated. ART is recognized by OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) and the department of labor as an effective wellness, prevention, or first aid measure. ART is a patented, state of the art soft tissue system/movement based massage technique that treats problems with muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia and nerves. Headaches, back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, shin splints, shoulder pain, sciatica, plantar fasciitis, knee problems, and tennis elbow are just a few of the many conditions that can be resolved quickly and permanently with ART.

Many soft tissue problems arise from overuse and repetitive motions past trauma. These conditions create an environment whereby tissues begin to “stick” to each other, rather than a gliding motion over or around one another. ART helps to restore that gliding motion which increases physical ability again.

Sedentary jobs, repetitive motion jobs, or old injuries have a dramatic impact on any person.
